Mom Finds Body In Son's Bedroom

The mother entered her son's room to investigate a gas smell and found a body wrapped in plastic, according to Los Angeles police.

LOS ANGELES — A mother contacted police after she found a body wrapped in plastic in her son’s room, according to Los Angeles authorities.

Officers received a report shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday of a possible homicide in the 2200 block of Wall Street in central Los Angeles, police said. When they arrived, they met with the woman, who said she went into her 26-year-old son’s room because she smelled gas and found the body, according to police.

Officers confirmed the presence of a plastic-wrapped body and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The deceased was identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office as Hannah Rachel Collins, 30.

An investigation into the death is ongoing, according to police. As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made.
