Motorcade Traffic Advisory: Vice President To Fundraise In LA Monday
Kamala Harris will attend her first top-dollar Los Angeles fundraiser as vice president for the Democratic National Committee.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Kamala Harris will attend her first fundraiser in Los Angeles Monday night as Vice President. That means her motorcade will likely tie up traffic in Los Angeles Monday evening through Tuesday.
Harris will head to Los Angeles after touring operations at Vandenberg Space Force Base on the Central Coast in the afternoon. She and her husband, Doug Emhoff are expected to spend the night in their Brentwood home after speaking at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser shortly after 8 p.m. Motorists on the Westside are being warned to expect traffic delays and road closures to make way for the vice-presidential motorcade Monday evening. Authorities did not release specific information about her route or schedule.
While her motorcade zips through Los Angeles, the vice president might just have time for her newfound passion: Wordle. Harris made headlines Monday when she admitted to The Ringer that she has a "100 percent" Wordle streek going.

"Wordle, for me, is like a brain cleanser," Harris told The Ringer. "So it's in the middle of very long days, back-to-back meetings on a lot of intense issues. If I have a break, let's say that people are running late or my little 25 minutes for lunch, sometimes while I'm eating I'll figure out Wordle."
Harris' schedule Tuesday offers little time for word games, however. According to the White House, Harris will visit Vandenberg Monday afternoon to be "be briefed on the work of U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command advancing our national security." Harris will also meet with service members and their families, and make public remarks about Space Force operations and goals.

Vandenberg Space Force Base on Sunday was the scene of a rocket launch by Hawthorne-based SpaceX, which propelled a spy satellite into orbit for the National Reconnaissance Office.
Harris and Emhoff are then both expected to attend the DNC fundraiser. The White House did not immediately release further details about Harris' trip including how long she plans to stay in the city.
The top-dollar fundraiser is being hosted by Walt Disney Television’s Dana Walden and her husband, Matt Walden, Deadline reported. Tickets are $50,000, and $100,000 for a friend, according to Deadline.
