Record rain and triple-digit winds battered California. The storm's toll is captured in the sheer number of mudslides, potholes and more.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Even before a final burst of heavy rain slammed the Southland Wednesday evening the numbers associated with the historic storm were staggering: nine dead statewide, more than 5oo mudslides across Los Angeles, 102 mph wind gusts, and more than 13 inches of rain in Bel Air.
Just one week into the month, and this is already among the wettest February's on record.

- 562 Mudslides: The slides destroyed homes and cars and triggered widespread evacuations;
- 15 Buildings red-tagged;
- 31 Buildings yellow-tagged, meaning that residents can only return to gather belongings;
- 527 Fallen trees and branches;
- 83,658 Customers lost power;
- 1,009 Reports of potholes;
- 1,332 Catch basins and stormwater conveyance systems cleared;
- 524 Crashes and traffic calls on city streets with 211 injuries;
- 50 Motorists stranded in water rescued;
- 5 LAFD Swift Water Teams rescues;
- 13.04 Inches of rain fell on Bel Air as of Tuesday;
- 13th Wettest February on record;
- 7 Billion gallons of storm water captured in Los Angeles County for groundwater and local supplies.
