Mysterious Glow Lights Up The Sky Above Southern California
The night sky light show could be seen from Mexico to Malibu to Nevada.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A bright white light appeared to rip a jagged line through the night sky above Southern California Thursday night, prompting drivers to pull over on the San Diego (405) Freeway and residents to point their phones to the heavens.
The light was the result of a rare West Coast launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The launch occurred just before 6:15 p.m. from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The light show could be seen from Mexico to Malibu and as far east as Arizona and Nevada.
According to KTLA, the mission involved the transportation of 53 Starlink satellites into orbit.
