FILLMORE, CA — The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a news conference Monday afternoon that a body found Monday morning belonged to "Glee" actress Naya Rivera.
“We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera,” Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said, adding that there is no indication of foul play or suicide.
The body is being taken to the Ventura County Coroner’s Office.

Rivera, 33, was reported missing after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Teams of over 100 personnel have been searching for her ever since, but the search has been complicated by winds, low visibility, and rocks, plants, and debris under the lake. By Friday, she was presumed dead, and Ventura County Deputy Chris Dyer said at a news conference that crews had shifted to a recovery mission.
On Monday morning, shortly after the sheriff’s office got access to a photo that Rivera texted of herself with her 4-year-old son at a cove in Lake Piru 90 minutes to two hours before she disappeared Wednesday, Ventura County officials announced that they had found a body.

The actress’s family and some of Rivera’s former “Glee” castmates came to the shore of the lake, where Rivera was known to come often. The castmates held hands in front of the lake while waiting for confirmation that the body belonged to Rivera.
The announcement comes exactly seven years after fellow “Glee” actor Cory Monteith was found dead in Vancouver from a heroin and alcohol overdose.
