New Memoir Worthy is a Must-Read, with Child Abuse at its core
Worthy is about childhood abuse by the author's own mother. Yet she survives with a message of hope for all victims.

If you have children, know children, or care about children, read this book. That pretty much means ...everyone must read this book. My NYC publishing friend said the book is not just a story about childhood abuse but much more.
"This book will open your eyes to the reality that many, many children are being abused right now," said Diane Lilli, founder of RebelBooksPress.com. "About 618,399 children are abused in the United States as of 2020. That's not acceptable. We need to change this reality. And I believe this book can help."
Author Kimberly Plante wrote her memoir Worthy about her own frightening childhood, somehow managing to overcome her nightmare at the hands of her abusive mother. This writer shares the intimate details of the physical and emotional pain that blanketed her childhood, starting at the age of three.

But the true story, though heartbreaking, leads you to a place where you are rooting for the author to overcome her struggles and break free from the prison that is her childhood.
I won't ruin the book for you, but I do want you to know that there are moments in 'Worthy' that will make you raise your hands in the air and shout for a little girl who grows up to find her voice and tell the world that everyone, including a powerless child at the hands of an abusive person, can find happiness - and even some surprising people in her corner.

“I knew I had to shine a light on my own childhood, no matter how painful it might be,” noted Plante. “Right now, there are thousands of children living through their own nightmares, and I wanted to send a clear message to them and to all survivors of child abuse: There is always hope. You must find your voice.”
