Ninja Cyclist Dies On 110 Freeway

A 27-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured when he crashed his Ninja motorcycle.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A 27-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured when he crashed his Ninja motorcycle Sunday on the Harbor (110) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles. The crash was at about 12:30 a.m. on the southbound freeway, south of Washington Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The motorcyclist, at an undetermined rate of speed, made an unsafe turning movement on his 2013 Kawasaki Ninja and hit the right side of the freeway, just south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway interchange, according to a CHP report. The vehicle overturned and the Los Angeles resident was ejected from the bike.
He then struck a freeway median, coming to a stop at the collector road to Adams Boulevard.

Paramedics rushed him to California Hospital Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 7:48 a.m.
His name was not immediately released.
