NorthStar Moving and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Partner for Fifth Annual Food Drive to Feed Hungry Kids

NorthStar Moving® Company, the leading eco-luxury mover in California, has teamed up once again with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Orange County for their fifth annual “Let’s Send Hunger Packing!” food drive to feed hungry children in Los Angeles and Orange County. The 2017 food drive kicked off May 22 and runs through June 16 to ensure donations are available to kids during summer vacation.

“In the summer, local food banks struggle to keep shelves stocked,” said Move for Hunger Founder and Executive Director Adam Lowy. “Families with children who receive free or reduced-cost breakfast and lunch at school now need to find a way to replace those meals during the summer. They need to turn to their local food pantry for assistance. Compounding the problem is the fact that food banks typically see a decline in donations during the summer months. That's why it's so important to take action now. The Let’s Send Hunger Packing Food Drive is a great way to help stock local food banks this summer and it has been for the past five years.”

Donations will be accepted at 27 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices. The Los Angeles County Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices’ donations will benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the Orange County offices’ donations will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices will be competing to raise the most food donations. NorthStar Moving will honor the winning offices, one in each county, with a monetary donation to their local food bank in their name.

NorthStar Moving will pick-up and transport all donated items to the two food banks. Donations can be dropped off at any of the participating Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices and can also be dropped off at NorthStar Moving’s headquarters at 9120 Mason Ave., Chatsworth, California.
