Officer Involved Shooting Closes 134 Freeway In Glendale

An officer-involved shooting prompted freeway closures in Los Angeles County Saturday. ​

GLENDALE, CA — The westbound Ventura (134) Freeway was shut down Saturday morning while police investigated an officer-involved shooting, officials said.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the eastbound 134 Freeway near Harvey Drive in Glendale around 9:11 a.m., where they found an armed female suspect who may have been suicidal NBC Los Angeles reported. After an exchange between the woman and officers, a shooting involving a CHP officer occurred, the station reported.

The woman was taken to an area hospital.
