One Dies in Santa Monica Freeway Collision Involving UPS Truck

The early morning crash shut down four Santa Monica (10) Freeway lanes in Cheviot Hills.

LOS ANGELES, CA — One person was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle freeway crash near the Cheviot Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Officers were called at 2:05 a.m. to the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway and Coventry Place where a silver SUV and a UPS truck collided, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unknown if there were other injuries.
