Overnight 10 Freeway Closures Planned Through Saturday

Motorists are advised to find alternate routes or expect delays along the 1-10 in Los Angeles and Boyle Heights overnight.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Nighttime commuters will want to make plans to avoid Interstate 10 between Boyle Heights and El Monte this week.

Wednesday, September 20 from 7:00 p.m. to Thursday, September 21 6:00 a.m.

· Eastbound I-10 from Soto on-ramp to Southbound Atlantic off-ramp.

Thursday, September 21 from 7:00 p.m. to Friday September 22 6:00 a.m.

· Eastbound I-10 from Soto on-ramp to Southbound I-710 connector ramp.

· Eastbound I-10 from Atlantic on-ramp to northbound New Avenue off-ramp.

Friday, September 22 from 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, September 23 1:00 p.m.

· Eastbound I-10 from Soto on-ramp to San Gabriel off-ramp.

" Residents and businesses located near the freeway are advised to anticipate noise and vibrations associated with construction activities," Caltrans warned. "Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap."

The work is part of a $8.8 million project to slurry seal ramps, replace damaged slabs, and maintain shoulders on a 10-mile stretch of highway between the Los Angeles community of Boyle Heights and the city of El Monte, according to Caltrans.
