Pasadena Police Officer Wounded, Suspect Killed In Shootout
A police chase in Pasadena ended with a shootout that left a suspect dead and an officer in serious condition.
PASADENA, CA — A suspect who led police on a vehicle chase was killed and an officer was shot in the leg Friday during an officer-involved shooting in Pasadena.
The pursuit started about 3:10 p.m. and ended in the shooting about 3:35 p.m. near Allen Avenue and Locust Street, according to Lt. Bill Grisafe of the Pasadena Police Department.
The suspect allegedly exited the vehicle and threatened police, KCAL9 reported.

An officer was taken to a hospital for a gunshot wound in the leg and is in "serious but stable condition," according to Lt. Carolyn Gordon of the Pasadena Police Department. It was not immediately clear how the officer was shot.
