Pasadena Showcase House of Design Opens This Weekend
Tour the magnificent Baldwin Oaks Estate, a 1907 shingle Arts & Crafts style home of Clara Baldwin Stocker.

The Pasadena Showcase House of Design is one of Southern California’s most anticipated spring tour design events. It's a month-long celebration of historic architecture, cutting-edge interior design, and philanthropy.

This year the Baldwin Oaks Estate in Arcadia is open to the public starting on April 19 - May 17, 2026. Visitors take a shuttle bus from a designated parking lot next to Santa Anita Park to arrive to the historic two-story Arts and Crafts home.
Each year, the Pasadena Showcase House of Design committee chooses a different historic home in the region, and completely transforms it by some of California's top designers.

Each year a showcase house draws a pretty diverse crowd of people who enjoy a mix of design inspiration, architecture, and experiential outings. Each decorated room provides inspiration to people looking for ideas to update and transform their own homes. It's a chance for people to see emerging design and color trends selected by professional designers, architects and stagers.

Dunn Edwards has a big role each year helping the committee of designers select the House of Design Color Palette. This year, The Dunn-Edwards Color of the Year is Midnight Garden DE5657. This color is embraced throughout the home, especially in the kitchen, laundry room and Enchantment Nook.

As one of the largest home and garden tours in the United States, tickets are timed-entry to alleviate crowding. Each ticket includes shuttle access and entrance into the home and grounds. Dining and shopping are located outside for additional fun. Proceeds from each ticket sold support music education and arts programs across the community. Over time this volunteer run organization has contributed over $27 million to arts initiatives.

Special events throughout the month long open house include a 'If Walls Could Talk Historian Tours (April 29 and May 7 from 5:45 to 8 pm), Yogasix Balance Under the Oaks (April 28 from 9 to 10 am), and a Wine Down Under The Oaks (Friday, May 13 from 5:45 to 8 pm). Tickets are available at Pasadena Showcase House of Design.
