Pedestrian Struck, Killed On 10 Freeway Near Downtown LA
The fatal collision occurred early Friday morning.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and killed on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Friday.
The California Highway Patrol was informed of a vehicle striking a pedestrian around 3:59 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway interchange, a CHP spokesperson said.
The collision involved a pickup truck, the CHP said.

Two middle lanes were closed and a Sigalert was issued, the CHP said.
By 5:30 a.m., only one lane remained closed as personnel from the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office made their way to the scene to collect the victim's body.

All lanes were reopened by about 7:30 a.m. a.m. the CHP reported.
