Photos: Dodgers Return Home To Celebrate World Series Victory

The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their eighth World Series championship with a lavish downtown parade and sold-out stadium gathering. In just five games, the Dodgers were able to win the series by defeating the New York Yankees 7-6 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx Wednesday.
The parade, which kicked off back in Los Angeles mid-morning with Mayor Karen Bass, began at Gloria Molina Grand Park with the Dodgers traveling on a double-decker bus along a 45-minute route ending at the intersection of 5th and Flower Streets. While the team quickly made the cross-country trip back home, fans were already seen eagerly waiting behind barricades in the early hours of the morning for a chance to be a part of this historic win. Due to the time difference, it was challenging for the Dodgers fans who were in attendance at the game to also be able to go to the parade.
The celebrations at Dodger Stadium, which began shortly after noon, donated a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
