Police Ask For Help Finding Palisades Woman's Killer

Twenty-four-year-old Brianna Kupfer​ was killed while working alone at a boutique furniture store.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are asking for help finding a man who stabbed to death a young Pacific Palisades woman inside the boutique furniture store where she worked Thursday afternoon.

Los Angeles Police detectives didn't immediately announce a motive for the attack that took the life of 24-year-old Brianna Kupfer inside a Hancock Park business in the 300 block of North La Brea Avenue.

Police were called at about 1:50 p.m. Thursday after a customer entered the furniture store and found Kupfer's body.

"The officers met with the reporting party, a customer who had entered the store and discovered the victim deceased on the floor," police said in a statement.

According to police, Kupfer was working alone at the time of the attack.

"Detectives have determined the suspect was not known to the victim and was a random walk-in to the store," police said. "The suspect attacked the victim with a knife and fled the scene through the back door."

Investigators believe the attacker was a homeless man.

"The suspect was last seen on video surveillance, northbound in the alley to the rear of the crime scene," police said.

The man was described as tall and thin of an unknown age, and he was wearing a dark hoodie, sunglasses, a white N-95 mask, dark skinny jeans and dark shoes. He was carrying a dark backpack.
