Police Fatally Shoot Female Robbery Suspect Behind 7-Eleven Counter: LAPD

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police shot and killed a female robbery suspect at a 7-Eleven in the West Rancho Dominguez area of Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

Officers responded at 11:10 p.m. Saturday to a reported robbery at Redondo Beach Boulevard and Figueroa Street and saw the suspect behind a store counter, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Officers attempted to communicate with the suspect, the suspect retrieved what appeared to be a firearm," police said.

Police shot the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers or bystanders were injured.
