Possible Victims Sought After Ex-Coach Charged With Lewd Acts With Child

COMPTON, CA — Authorities sought the public's help Sunday in locating and identifying alleged victims of a former youth soccer coach in Compton who was arrested on suspicion of lewd acts upon a child.

Alberto Rojas, 30, was arrested on Feb. 15 by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Compton station on suspicion of assault of a minor, according to the department.

Rojas was formally charged with three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child, the Sheriff's Information Bureau reported.

"Mr. Rojas worked as a youth soccer coach in the area and has had contact with numerous juveniles in the course of that employment," the LASD said. "Based on the nature of the offenses, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims."
