Reward Announced in 2021 Killing of Sylmar Man
Authorities have announced a reward of up to $50,000 for help in solving the murder of a Sylmar man who was gunned down nearly 6 months ago.
SYLMAR, CA -- Authorities on May 2 announced a reward of up to $50,000 for help in solving the murder of a Sylmar man who was gunned down nearly six months ago.
Alexander Aguirre, 40, was shot about 10 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2021, in the 13200 block of Maclay Street, and he died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
``During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect approached Aguirre in the rear parking lot and shot him,'' police said in a statement. ``The motive for the shooting has not been established.''

No arrests have been reported, and no suspect description has been released.
The reward was offered by the Los Angeles City Council for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible.
