Cher Unloads On Chandler Mom After DACA Tweet
Brenda Webb doubted the singer's sincerity when she said she was ready to take in DACA recipients and offer them help.

A 61-year-old unemployed mother in Chandler, Arizona, learned the hard way that the internet is not the most tolerant of places when she tweeted at Cher, doubting the singer's sincerity about taking in Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients. It happened on Tuesday, soon after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that President Trump is ending the program that offered a level of protection for people brought to the United States as children.
The president's decision — which could lead to the deportation of hundreds of thousands of people from the United States, the only country that they have known — has been met with criticism from Democrats and Republicans and inspired calls to action from many, including celebrities such as Cher.
"Those who can must take a DREAMER In2 Their Home & Protect them," the singer tweeted. "I'm ready 2 do this."

About a half hour later, Brenda Webb tweeted back to Cher, saying: "Sure you will Cher. I'll believe it when I see it." Webb picked the gauntlet right back up, telling the superstar, "I sure will."
She told a reporter for CBS 5 in Phoenix that, at first, she wasn't sure Cher was actually sending her a message.
"I told my son, I said, 'Mark! Is she saying this to me?' And he's like, 'Yeah mom. I think she is.' I didn't know! I was shocked," the station quoted her as saying.
The irony? Webb told the reporter she actually agrees with Cher's politics.
"I believe that the Dreamers, they didn't ask to come here," she said. "Their parents brought them. Plain and simple."
She said her tweet was about making sure that the celebrity — she's been a fan of hers for decades — keeps her promise, something she doesn't always do.
Webb pointed out that Cher had said she wold move to Jupiter - the planet, not the city in Florida - if Trump were elected.
That did not happen.
The dustup led to a lot of hostility directed toward Webb, to the point where she ended up making a lot of her posts private.
For now, she plans to lay low on Twitter.
