Grass Fire Slows Traffic Alongside 134 And 170 Freeways
Drivers are advised to avoid the area in Studio City where a half-acre brush fire broke out Friday afternoon.

STUDIO CITY, CA — A small grass fire scorched a half-acre of vegetation near the Ventura (134) and Hollywood (170) freeways Friday afternoon.
The half-acre blaze broke out shortly after noon and scorched mulch, vegetation and debris while sending a plume of smoke above the Studio City area, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire partially shut down the freeways and nearby surface streets as firefighters worked to douse the blaze.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported, Brian Humphrey, LAFD spokesman, said.
