Search For Armed Robbery Suspect Triggers Woodland Hills Closures

Los Angeles police were searching for an armed robbery suspect near Burbank and Topanga Canyon boulevards Wednesday afternoon.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — The search for an armed robber prompted street closures in Woodland Hills Wednesday afternoon.

Los Angele police stopped a vehicle believed to be linked to an armed robbery at about noon in the area of Burbank and Topanga Canyon boulevards. While the driver was detained, the passenger fled into the surrounding neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities did not immediately release details of the armed robbery, and it wasn't clear how long the surrounding streets were closed.
