LOS ANGELES, CA — Dogs were repeatedly shot in two separate incidents across Los Angeles in just over a week, and authorities are searching for the shooter or shooters. Investigators hope someone will come forward with information about the deadly spree.

The most recent shooting occurred early Sunday morning when a dog was shot and killed near 52nd Street and Avalon Boulevard. The slaying happened at 3:30 a.m., and police did not have a suspect description for the shooter.

The shooting came nine days after another dog was repeatedly shot near 23rd Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
