Sheriff's Deputies Fatally Shoot Man In Los Angeles County

PARAMOUNT, CA — A man was shot and killed by sheriff's deputies responding to a family dispute in Paramount Sunday evening.

Deputies responded to the 8400 block of Quimby Street at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service.

As the deputies spoke with the family, something occurred that resulted in the deputies shooting a man who died at the scene, Koerner said.

No deputies were injured.

Homicide detectives were summoned to begin one of the investigations that will be conducted into the shooting and what led up to it, Koerner said.
