SigAlert: Brush Fire Jams Rush Hour Traffic On 60 Freeway
The California Highway Patrol advised commuters to avoid the area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Highway Patrol has shut down part of the Pomona (60) Freeway due to a fire burning on the westbound side of the freeway..
At one point, the flames were shooting to close to traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol, and the 3, 4, and 5 lanes were closed. The blaze was reported shortly before 4 p.m. near Diamond Bar Boulevard. The CHP issued a SigAlert expected to last until a little after 4 :30 p.m. Friday.
