SigAlert: Fatal Crash Brings Northbound 110 Freeway To A Crawl
Though only one northbound lane remained closed by 8 a.m. Tuesday, traffic remained heavy on the 110 between the 10 and the 105.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A crash on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway left one person dead and backed up traffic for miles during the morning rush hour in Los Angeles Tuesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert shortly after 5 a.m. for the northbound side of the freeway in the University Park area and extended it for another hour just before 7 a.m. According to the CHP, the number 5 lane was expected to remain closed until about 9 a.m. The northbound side of the freeway was backed up from the Santa Monica (10) Freeway to the Century (105) Freeway.
The crash was reported about 5 a.m. at Adams Boulevard, according to the CHP.
