SigAlert: Overturned Semi Triggers 605 Freeway Closure

A semi truck carrying fuel overturned in a crash on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, triggering an hours-long closure of four lanes.

INDUSTRY, CA — An overturned semi spilled fuel across the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Industry overnight triggering an hours-long SigAlert expected to last through the morning rush hour.

The crash involved a Honda Civic and a tanker truck carrying fuel near the Pomona (60) Freeway interchange about 1:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The fuel spilled across four lanes of the freeway. The CHP issued a SigAlert expected to last, at least, until 8:30 a.m.

The fuel spill prompted the CHP to close the Nos. 1 through 4 lanes of the freeway. Traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Valley Boulevard, the CHP said.
