SigAlert: Overturned Truck Blocks Southbound 405 Freeway

The crash occurred near Santa Monica Boulevard Saturday morning, and Caltrans crews were working to clear the road.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the Southbound San Diego (405) Freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard Saturday after a crash caused a pickup truck to overturn, spilling concrete onto the roadway.

The crash was reported shortly after 10:15 a.m. Saturday. The overturned pickup truck blocked the carpool lane and the two fast lanes with debris. Caltrans crews were called in to clean the debris from the roadway and were expected to begin work shortly after 11:10 a.m., according to CHP.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area Saturday morning.
