2 Injured In 10 Freeway Shooting
The shooting occurred near the 710 interchange, shutting down all lanes of the eastbound I-10 during the morning rush hour.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Two men were injured Tuesday morning in a shooting that shut down all lanes of the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway in East Los Angeles near the 710 Interchange. The freeway backed up Downtown traffic for miles, affecting multiple freeways.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at about 5:45 a.m, and all lanes remained closed heading into the morning rush hour. However, they were reopened three hours later, according to the CHP.

Police are investigating the shooting as a vehicle- to-vehicle shooting near Soto Street.
The two wounded men were taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to the CHP and reports from the scene. No description was available of a suspect or vehicle.

The motive for the attack was not known.
Comuters were advised to avoid the area Tuesday morning.
