Sleeping Mom Killed, 3 Hurt When Car Slams Into Apartment
A woman was sleeping with her young daughter when a car crashed into her Los Angeles apartment and caught fire.
LOS ANGELES, A — A mother of four was killed where she slept next to her daughter when a car slammed into an apartment building in the Broadway-Manchester area of Los Angeles.
Three others were hurt, including the woman's daughter was was hospitalized in stable condition, according to CBS News.
Firefighters responded to the crash at 8760 S. Main St., near 87th Place, at 5:05 a.m. and located the vehicle that had crashed into the building, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department. At least four people were injured, he said.

The crash sparked a fire, Prange said. The extent of the damage from the fire was unknown.
One person in the vehicle was freed from the wreckage by firefighters and one of the injured was a 2-year-old child in one of the apartments, ABC7 reported.
