Southern California Rain And Snow Totals: How Much Has Fallen So Far?
See how various locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties are faring as a powerful storm slams the region.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Southern Californians can expect a wet and snowy weekend as the coldest storm to hit the southland in recent years causes flooding, power outages and mountain blizzard conditions.
Rain in most areas began Wednesday night with heavier downpours late Thursday and into Friday. Heavy rain is expected throughout Southern California through the weekend and into midweek in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego Counties, National Weather Service forecasters said.
Downpours on Friday caused crashes on rain-slicked roads, flooding, perilous conditions on the Cajon Pass, and the closure of the Golden State (5) Freeway at the Grapevine.
