Sponge Cola comes to KUBO Long Beach on Saturday, February 11.
From what started out as a high school class project in 2002, the group has grown into one of the Philippines’ premier bands, entertaining audiences both locally and internationally, and becoming staples in the country’s entertainment industry. In 2020, the band signed with Sony Music Entertainment, joining the likes of SB19 and Ben&Ben; during the height of the pandemic when concerts and performances went digital, the band charted as the No.1 on Billboard's Top Facebook Live Videos Chart.
As a cornerstone to the Filipino rock genre, Sponge Cola has been consistent in powering, romancing, and inspiring their native Philippines with a stellar collection of original and certified hit songs culled from an impressive catalogue of award-winning and critically acclaimed full-length albums. The band has released a total of 8 albums to date, as well as several EPs, with a 9th full studio album currently in the making.
