The entire event will air throughout the world, including on ABC on Sept. 26, the Associated Press reported.
According to its website, Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030.
In the U.S., according to the AP, Global Citizen wants the Biden administration to increase COVID-19 vaccine access by sharing at least 350 million doses with the poorest countries by the end of September.
The organization also is asking government leaders in the U.K. to partner with the Race to Zero coalition, a United Nations-led campaign aiming to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
In May, Global Citizen sponsored "Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World," which generated more than 26 million in COVID-19 vaccine doses and raised $302 million for programs aimed at a more equitable distribution of vaccines.
That event, which was staged at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, was hosted by Selena Gomez and featured performances by Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R. President Biden and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, also took part in the event.
