Body Found At Table Rock Beach For The Second Time In Days
Lifeguards began the search for a missing swimmer Friday, and a body was found Saturday morning.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The search for a missing swimmer at Table Rock Beach ended in tragedy Saturday, the second time a body has been found in the area within the last two weeks.
The search for a missing swimmer began in the area Friday evening and continued to Saturday morning with the closure of the popular beach.
Crews were forced to call off the search as night fell Friday.

“A few hours went by, and they weren’t able to find the swimmer,”Laguna Beach Battalion Chief Crissy Teichmann told the Laguna Beach Independent.
On Friday night, city officials issued a traffic alert for the same area to allow a helicopter to land at Table Rock Beach to assist with a remote rescue.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether the body found Saturday was that of the missing swimmer.
Just eight days prior, another swimmer was found in the water off Table Rock Beach. On Aug. 21, Louis Alberto Sanchez of Bloomington, was pronounced dead after being pulled from the water and airlifted to a nearby hospital. He was 29-years-old.
