LOS ANGELES, CA — If you are not among the lucky fans who scored tickets for Taylor Swift's upcoming The Eras tour — planned at locations nationwide and in California — you may be out of luck.

Still, according to the singer's most recent Instagram story, she may have a few tricks up her 'bejeweled' sleeve.

Ticketmaster announced Thursday that the general sale for that concert series was canceled after "extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand."

Ticketmaster is still linking to tickets for The Eras tour in California, however none are available for purchase.

She is scheduled to perform two nights in Santa Clara at Levi's Stadium in July and five nights in Los Angeles at SoFi stadium, all of which are sold out.

Swift addressed her fans in an Instagram story Friday after measured silence following Wednesday's ticket sale debacle.

"Well. It goes without saying that I'm extremely protective of my fans," the singer wrote. "We've been doing this for decades together and over the years I've brought so many elements of my career in-house. I've done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans' experience by doing it myself with my team who care as much about my fans as I do. It's really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.

"There are a multitude of reasons why people had such a hard time trying to get tickets and I'm trying to figure out how this situation can be improved moving forward," Swift's statement said. "I'm not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could. It's truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.

"And to those who didn't get tickets, all I can say is that my hope is to provide more opportunities for us to get together and sing these songs. Thank you for wanting to be there. You have no idea how much this means."

Swift's fans will likely scour her message for hidden clues and Easter egg promises. All are hopeful that Swift will find a way to make it up to them.

Fans trying to scoop up tickets Tuesday in a pre-sale for her tour were met by massive delays and error messages that Ticketmaster blamed on bots and historically unprecedented demand. It was the most tickets sold on the platform in a single day, the company said in a statement.

Fresh off one of the biggest album launches of her career, Swift announced earlier this month that she was going on a new U.S. stadium tour, with international dates to follow. Verified fans who received a special code had exclusive access to buy tickets Tuesday. Fans not given codes were placed on a waiting list for ticket sales.

The 52-date Eras Tour kicks off March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, and wraps up with five shows in Los Angeles ending Aug. 9. It’s Swift’s first tour since 2018.
