Taylor Swift Ticket Sales For The Eras Tour Crashes Ticketmaster

Tickets for shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Seattle remain unsold as Ticketmaster confronts "historically unprecedented demand."

LOS ANGELES, CA — Trying to buy Taylor Swift tickets for the Eras Tour? So is everyone else.

Ticketmaster, based in Beverly Hills, crashed shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday after reporting “historically unprecedented demand,” with "millions of fans" showing up to buy tickets for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale event.

According to Ticketmaster's recent release, West Coast ticket sales scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PST would be pushed back to 3 p.m.

The queue for those tickets, initially reserved for both Taylor Swift’s verified fan base and Capitol One members—both with pre-registration codes—crashed Ticketmaster shortly before the on-sale time.

Queues for the West Coast tours in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, and Seattle will open at 2:30 p.m., Ticketmaster reported over Twitter.

Those with Capitol One on-sale codes were rescheduled to buy tickets Wednesday at 2 p.m. local venue time.

“All presale codes and links sent via text will still work at that time,” they said. “Thank you for your patience as we continue managing this huge demand.”

"The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!) The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!" Swift reported over Twitter. Since that time, hundreds of thousands registered for the right to purchase tickets days earlier than otherwise available through Ticketmaster.

Taylor Swift’s recently released “Midnights” album crashed Spotify and other streaming services shortly after the album's October release. Since she has been listed as Billboard's Top Artist in the Artists 100 chart, with her song “Antihero” holding the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third week.
