Teen Shot Near Valley High School: Report

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A teenager was shot near a high school in North Hollywood on Monday afternoon, according to a report.

The shooting occurred outside a Taco Bell near Magnolia Boulevard and Colfax Avenue, across the street from North Hollywood High School, according to CBS Los Angeles.

That afternoon, a teen had showed up at a nearby urgent care with a gunshot wound, but police did not confirm whether that was the same person wounded in the shooting, according to the station.

The victim was treated and released after being transferred to a nearby hospital.

Several people were detained following the shooting, according to police.
