Temecula Woman Claims She Was Kidnapped By Her Ex-Housekeeper: Report

A woman said she was lured into a charity effort and attacked, tasered and kidnapped by a woman she recognized, KTLA reported.

TEMECULA, CA — Police in Riverside are investigating a report of a bizarre kidnapping attempt in which a woman alleges her former housekeeper lured into a charity effort and forced her to drive while tasering her from the backseat.

Erin Quinn told the story of her strange ordeal to KTLA. She alleges that she received a text from an unknown number claiming to be an elderly woman seeking help delivering gifts for a toy drive. She said she offered to help and arrived at an address to pick up the toys, but when she got to the door, she received another text telling her someone would bring the toys to her in the car.

However, when she sat in the driver's seat, she discovered someone in the backseat, she said.

“Someone grabs my hair and puts a Taser to my head,” she told KTLA. “She had me drive, and she’s got the Taser on my head, pulling my hair and telling me to drive.”

Quinn said she honked her horn and struggled but was forced to drive as the attack continued. Her attacker, a woman, threatened her family next, she said.

After a struggle, Quinn's SUV crashed, and she looked back and recognized her former housekeeper disguised in a wig, she contends. The pair got out of the vehicle and struggled until a bystander intervened, KTLA reported.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the report, but no arrests have been made.
