Temperatures Plummet Nearly 30 Degrees As Storm Moves Into LA
From record heat to rain and snow, Southern California is experiencing a dramatic shift in weather.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Within the course of 48 hours, Southern California swung from a heat advisory to a winter weather advisory as temperatures dropped nearly 30 degrees.
Southern California's heatwave came to a dramatic end Monday as record high temperatures dropped across wide swaths of Los Angeles County. From unseasonably high scorching temperatures that baked the region over the last week, Tuesday will bring notably cooler temperatures, a chance of rain and snow to the local mountains.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday's high for Downtown Los Angeles is 60 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain. That's down 29 degrees from Saturday's record high of 89 degrees.
