Two Weeks Of Nighttime 405 Freeway Closures Heading Your Way
Portions of the San Diego (405) Freeway will shut down overnight for two weeks as part of Metro's light rail construction project.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The upcoming series of nighttime San Diego (405) Freeway closures aren't quite Carmageddon, but things are bound to get unpleasant anytime the 405 Freeway is shut down.
Drivers can expect 15 full nights of partial and full directional closures of the San Diego Freeway near Los Angeles International Airport starting July 31. The closures are part of the construction of a bridge for the Crenshaw/LAX Line light rail project, Metro announced Monday.
The closures will only take place on weekdays. They will include overnight full or partial directional closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday to Friday.
