LOS ANGELES, CA — Traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway came to a halt Thursday as Vice President Kamala Harris left her Brentwood home and headed to LAX to catch a flight to San Francisco. She's expected to return Thursday night, likely triggering another round of road closures affecting the city's Westside.

Drivers are advised to expect delays again on sidestreets and the 405 Freeway.

Harris will meet with current and former maternal health patients, and speak with members of the maternal health care workforce at the University of California San Francisco before flying back to LAX Thursday night.

The Vice President has been in Los Angeles since Monday. Her only public event was giving a 19-minute speech at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Brentwood Monday. The visit has proven to be one of her longest home trips since taking office.
