The debate comes only 24 hours after the historic vote to impeach President Donald Trump.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The last Democratic presidential debate of 2019 is set for Thursday evening on the stage at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. PBS NewsHour and Politico are co-hosting the event, which comes one day after the historic House vote to impeach President Donald Trump.
The debate will be moderated by Judy Woodruff, Amna Nawaz and Yamiche Alcindor of PBS and Tim Alberta of Politico. There will be no opening statements by the candidates, and each participant will have 45 seconds for rebuttals or follow-ups, with an additional minute-long closing statement.

How was the group selected?
Democratic candidates needed to receive at least 4 percent in multiple national or early state polls that met the Democratic National Committee's criteria, or 6 percent in two early state polls. Candidates also had to receive at $200,000 or more in donations from unique donors, with a minimum of $800 from at least 20 different states.
