Terrece Lynn is the founder and CEO of The Wayne Agency, one of the largest talent and literary agencies based in Los Angeles, with a second location in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The SAG-AFTRA and WGA franchised agency represents over 600 talented clients, to include providing both theatrical and commercial representation, as well as representation for musicians, writers, voice over artists, social media influencers, and models.

Founder Terrece Lynn began working in the entertainment industry at a young age. Lynn states, “My parents actually had me enrolled in both modeling and acting classes when I was 12 years old, in an effort to help me to become more confident and outgoing. It was during this time that I found my passion for the arts, which has continued to grow throughout the years. And then, when I had children of my own, I knew that I wanted them to have even more opportunities than what I initially had. Starting my own agency was also to safeguard them, knowing that I would be their best advocate.”

Terrace Lynn discussed the importance of today being a nationally recognized holiday, “Juneteenth means a lot to me, and it also reminds me that liberation is not a one-time event, but a continuous journey toward freedom. I feel fortunate to be able to share my story on how I became both a minority and female business owner of a successful Los Angeles based talent agency, and it is my hope that, by example I can encourage others to freely and passionately pursue their dreams. It is a reminder for everyone to stay true to who they are, and regardless of what adversity that one may face, it can be overcome and thriving is entirely possible, as well as how it should be for all.” Juneteenth derives its name from combining June and nineteenth, and it is celebrated today on the anniversary of when Major General Gordon Granger proclaimed freedom for enslaved people in Texas on June 19th, 1865. This resulted two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. "Today is a day of inspiration, inspiration that should remain every day of the year," states Lynn.

The Wayne Agency is based on a foundation of encouraging others to follow their dreams and reach their own potential, never limiting a person’s dreams or boxing them into a category of roles. Lynn states, “I feel what makes us special as an agency is that we are always maintaining an open dialogue with the talented people that we represent, treating them as individuals with goals and dreams that we need to listen to as agents. Everyone has their own unique qualities and a way in which they can bring their talent forward, standing out from the crowd. We encourage individuality and for people to truly shine in a way that only they can. We never separate the personal individual from the professional, as both form who they are - of course.”

Lynn is also a producer, writer and director with an upcoming production, written by a newly signed writer with The Wayne Agency. "We have a project that will soon enter post-production that my partner and I created titled, The Karen Effect. "It is an unscripted series that will shed light and attention to society’s obsession with seemingly taking justice in their own hands," as Lynn discussed in a recent interview. "The Karen Effect will also provide a unique perspective because, not only will it highlight the ‘accused Karen,’ it will also provide a platform for those subjected to ‘Karen behavior,’ allowing for possible acknowledgement and resolution, as well as education by telling both sides of the dynamic.” Writers for The Karen Effect include Terrece Lynn, Ernest Dancy, and Chris Givens. Lynn's production company is seeking an additional Co-Executive Producer.

Lynn states, “My motivation for forming The Wayne Agency rooted from my own experience of limited opportunities in the entertainment industry - at first! Being a bi-racial talent and not always receiving opportunities because no one knew how and where to place me became frustrating. As I got older and had kids of my own, I saw the same thing happening to them as what happened to me growing up. I had to pave the way. I knew change was coming and I wanted to be part of that positive change. I set out to be an advocate for talented people and continue to be; people need and deserve to have the experience that it is possible to be seen for what you can bring to the table. Talent comes in many shapes, colors and sizes, and that is what makes this world beautiful. I always want to make sure that TWA is always sending out the message that it is important to never give up on your dreams. The road may not be easy, but it is possible, and I am living proof.”

Passion and a true dedication to help others achieve all and more than they thought was possible is at the foundation of all that The Wayne Agency does. Terrace Lynn discussed what she considers to be achievements that she can be proud of, “Something that makes me happy is to pick up the phone to call the talented people that I represent, and to be able to tell them that they booked a role of a lifetime. Regardless of the level one is at in their career, it’s all meaningful and exciting. Concluding, “ Everything that I do is because I have first-hand experience of not being validated or given that opportunity to help me reach my goals within the entertainment industry. When I was old enough to realize that I am a part of the change to help change the narrative in a positive way for others, I wanted nothing more.”

Terrace Lynn concludes, “Literally, all of us working in the entertainment industry realize that it is often ninety percent rejection and ten percent acceptance, so we all must go that extra mile to ensure that the ten percent really counts, seizing every opportunity that is meant for us.”
