New Details Emerge In Barrage Of Gunfire At Rihanna's LA Mansion

Authorities revealed details about the Florida woman suspected of attempted murder in the shooting at Rihanna's mansion.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 35-year-old Florida woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after she opened fire with an assault rifle on singer Rihanna's Beverly Crest home on Sunday.

The shooting was reported at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday on the 9500 block of Heather Road, just west of Beverly Hills. Officers responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and met the caller at the property, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police did not say who lived in the home. Multiple news outlets reported that it belongs to Rihanna. Public records show the property is owned by a trust run by Evan Jehle, who is a member of the advisory board for Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation.

Helicopter footage after the shooting showed what appeared to be bullet holes in a gate, as well as the front of the home blocked by yellow crime-scene tape attached to an LAPD SUV.

Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Radio dispatch for the incident said that at least 10 shots had been fired at the residence from a vehicle across the street from the property's gate. The vehicle, a white Tesla, fled from the scene, the Times reported.

The suspect was located in the parking lot of the Sherman Oaks Galleria about 30 minutes after the gunfire was reported.

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, of Orlando, Florida, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail was set at $10.225 million, according to the Times.

LAPD Capt. Mike Bland told reporters at the scene of Sunday's shooting the weapon was an AR-15-style rifle.
