Woman Hit By Semi On 710 Freeway

A 43-year-old Long Beach woman died Monday morning when she tried to cross traffic on the 710 Freeway​ after her vehicle became disabled.

LONG BEACH, CA — A Long Beach woman died Monday morning after being hit by a semi-tractor on the Long Beach (710) Freeway.

The 43-year-old woman had run into traffic after her vehicle became disabled from a previous crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A woman was struck and killed by a semi-tractor without a trailer on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach Monday morning. She died at the scene.

The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. on the southbound Long Beach Freeway just north of the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities withheld the woman's name pending notification of her relatives.
