LA Police Need Help Finding Hit-And-Run Driver
A woman was walking in a crosswalk Wednesday night when a sedan struck her and kept going.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A woman is dead today after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, and police are asking for help finding her killer.
Authorities are looking for the driver of a silver sedan last seen headed westbound on Washington Boulevard Wednesday night. The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a woman was crossing Washington Boulevard at Gramercy Place in a marked crosswalk. The sedan was heading westbound on Washington Boulevard when it struck her, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver continued on without stopping to render aid.
Paramedics rushed the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The woman has been identified, but her identity was being withheld pending notification to her next, the LAPD announced.
"Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves," the LAPD said in a written release.
