Woman Killed In Suspected Westwood Murder-Suicide Was 8 Months Pregnant: Reports
The 45-year-old woman was found dead alongside her husband inside a Westwood home Friday morning.
WESTWOOD, CA — A pregnant woman found shot to death alongside her husband inside a Westwood home last week has been identified, authorities said Monday.
Gul Erdogan, 45, was pronounced dead at around 5:45 a.m. Friday at a home in the 1300 block of Holmby Avenue, near Wellworth Avenue and just west of the Los Angeles Country Club, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
Erdogan died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide, officials said.

The name of her husband, who was also found dead inside the home, had not been released as of Monday.
Officers responded to a reported shooting at the two-story home and found the couple dead inside. Investigators are treating the case as a suspected murder-suicide, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Neighbor Richard Schultz told KTLA that the couple appeared happy and were often seen walking together while holding hands.
Schultz told the station that Erdogan was 8 ½ months pregnant and that the couple held a baby shower on July 4. Law enforcement sources also told NBC Los Angeles that she was pregnant.
Police have not released additional details about what led to the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
