Woman Riding Scooter Killed By Hit-and-Run Driver In LA

The woman was riding a mobility scooter at the time of the crash.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 30-year-old woman riding a mobility scooter was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle Sunday morning in South Los Angeles, authorities said.

The woman was struck at about 1:35 a.m. Sunday while traveling north on Slauson Avenue from Denver Avenue. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was described as a possible mid-2000s Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
