Women's Guild Cedars Sinai Celebrates 60 Years

Nancy Meyers and Hallie Meyers-Shyer were presented with Woman of Achievement Awards at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on November 8. Diane Keaton presented the award to the mother-daughter duo.

“Nancy and Hallie write stories of women for audiences to hang their dreams on – dreams for all of us gals to carry on our long march through the vigor and joy of being women," said Keaton.

Women’s Guild President Shelley Cooper announced the fulfillment of their $10 million pledge to the Women’s Guild Simulation Center for Advanced Clinical Skills.

“We’re so proud of our accomplishments we’re not even going to lie about our age. Women’s Guild is the big 6-0– and we look fabulous,” said Cooper.

Others in attendance included event emcee Carrie Ann Inaba, Women’s Guild 2011 Honoree Julie Chen (who gifted each guest with a copy of her children’s book When I Grow Up), singer Lana Del Rey, TV personality Brandi Glanville, actress Sami Gayle, philanthropist Edythe Broad and more. Pary Mosenifar and Atoosa Nehorai were Luncheon Co-Chairs. The event also featured a fabulous fashion show by St. John.
