Wrong-Way Driver On 101 Freeway Causes 4-Car Crash: Police

A four-vehicle crash triggered by a wrong-way driver on the 101 Freeway led to one person being injured.

SHERMAN OAKS (CNS) - A person was rushed to a hospital from a four-vehicle crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks Saturday allegedly triggered by a wrong way motorist, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 6:25 a.m. on the westbound freeway at Woodman Avenue, where a white vehicle was going eastbound in the westbound lanes, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash involved two SUVs, a white pickup truck and a black Dodge Charger, the CHP said.

Paramedics dispatched to the crash scene rushed at least one person to a hospital. That person's condition was not known. All traffic lanes were opened at 7:43 a.m.
